Clerky builds software to make legal paperwork easy for startups and attorneys.

Clerky was founded in 2011 by Chris Field and Darby Wong, two startup attorneys working in the Silicon Valley office of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. They observed a serious problem. Good startup attorneys were expensive, which drove startups to use low-quality lawyers or online services, or DIY approaches. But this almost always ended up hurting startups in the long run, because of the resulting mistakes and issues.

Chris and Darby started Clerky to fix this problem. Clerky's software enables startups to get quality legal paperwork done as efficiently as possible. Many startups use Clerky on their own, but others use it in conjunction with an attorney. Clerky's software has collaborative features that make it easy for startups to use the software with their attorneys.
